Waffles

 

Serves 8

Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp salt

4 tsp baking powder

4 Tblsp sugar

2 eggs, room temperature

1 ½ cup milk, warmed slightly

1 stick unsalted butter

Directions:
1. Plug a waffle iron in to heat up while preparing batter.
2. Put flour, salt, baking powder and sugar in a mixing bowl. Stir to blend dry ingredients together.
3. Place butter in a medium microwavable bowl and melt butter for 20-30 seconds in a microwave on high. Add milk and set aside.
4. In another bowl, add eggs, milk and butter.
5. Combine with flour mixture with the egg mixture. Beat until well blended.
6. Pour ½ cup batter into a very hot waffle iron. 
7. Bake until golden and crisp.
